Z'Nae Mangum (Miss Black & Gold Eta Gamma) is new Miss Prairie View A&M University

Z'Nae Mangum (Miss Black and Gold Eta Gamma) is the new Miss Prairie View A&M University for 2021-22. Z'Nae won the judges top vote for her dramatic interpretive and modern dance to Maya Angelou's iconic poem "I Rise" and the evening wear competitions. The virtual pageant featured six dynamic and progress women with varied talent, ambition and drive.


Completing the Miss PVAMU Court are Kala Washington First Runner up (Miss Black and Gold First Runner up) and Melanie Hollis (Miss Black and Gold Epsilon Tau Lambda) Second Runner up.


Kala Washington performed an original dramatic personnae Poem, while Melanie Hollis performed a modern Jazz Dance.

All three contestants continued the legacy for the Miss Black and Gold Pageant by competing and winning in the Miss Prairie View A&M University Pageant.
Former Miss Black and Gold winners in the Miss PVAMU Pageant are:
Miss PVAMU - Ivy Walls in 2015 and Moriah Colbert in 2017.
