The Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant, created in 1976, is a national program and an outgrowth of the long-standing tradition of Alpha Chapters designating outstanding young ladies as "Chapter Sweethearts". The Pageant serves as a training ground to develop and enhance young women into progressive and productive citizens, while providing scholarship opportunities to fulfill their dreams and aspirations.
