After an informational setting and two rounds of interviews, the contestant's field for the 2016 Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant is narrowed down to Nakia Alomaja, Madelyn Bartley, Arieona Cage, Moriah Colbert, Kaneshia Davis, Marilyn Dunn, Kyasia Fields, Nikisha Francois, Olivia Johnson, Jade Morris, Nia Scott, Jada Vaughn and Terika Williams.
The fifteen contestants will vie for the titles of Miss Black and Gold Eta Gamma and Miss Black and Gold Epsilon Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the 34th annual pageant set for November 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium, Willie A. Tempton Student Center at Prairie View A&M University.
The contestants come from varied backgrounds, economic status and experiences and are expected to continue the tradition of the Prairie View Chapters.
The pageant is seeking sponsorship for its scholarships, advertisements, gifts and prizes for the contestants.
